Because of the curved screen, a dry-apply screen protector will either bubble at the curved sections or must be made smaller than the screen to avoid that. The ultra-oleophobic from sgp IS smaller and will not cover from edge to edge. I have used zagg protectors in the past but there is an orange peel effect for almost all wet-apply ones, especially zagg. There is at least one review on youtube and couple pictures at xda forums. I went ahead and bought this and it turned out better than I had hoped for. There is some orange peel, but not as much as zagg. The protector covers exactly from edge to edge and its only noticeable from the earpiece and front-facing camera cutout. I can confirm that it is not as rubbery/sticky feeling as the zagg as well. The oil will build up fast and the smudges will be very noticeable, but clean off easier than sgp's dry-apply, non-oleophobic ones. With the screen on, the clarity is not distorted at all and its up to the standards that many have come to expect from SGP. -- By G. Park
Great Screen Protector
I got this product for our family's two Galaxy Nexuses the day after we got our phones from Verizon. The sales rep put on the "anti-glare" screen protectors that Verizon sells -- they were horrible! They made the Nexus' amazing screen look low-res and grainy. That screen protector also had a very bad "rainbow effect," to the point where I considered just going without. After reading some other reviews online recommending Steinheil products, I got these protectors, and I am amazed! The screen looks just as good with the protector as without. Neither of our two phones have any air bubbles or trapped particles under the screen protector, and the cut of the protector was so good that the edge of the protector is virtually invisible. The application process, though, did seem to be a lot easier with two people than with one. The screen protectors did dry with a little bit of a wrinkly look to them, but it is only noticeable when looking at the screen from an angle while the display is off. I can't comment on durability, since I just got the phone a few days ago. -- By Doctor G
